NYE

I'm not going to ask if you have any resolutions or great epiphanies for 2013. If you do, great! But that's not what I'm here to find out or help you with. I'm here to equip you with everything you will need to look crazy hot on New Years Eve.

The guys over at Pantone have predicted that 2013's colour will be green, so why not get on this trend early? Bottle green is such a gorgeous colour and I don't think it's worn enough; people tend to opt for the safer colours of burgundy and navy blue - myself included but with embellishment like this it would be such a shame to say no to this dress. Oh, and if you're still umm-ing and arr-ing.. I can give you 20% off. That helps, doesn't it? Just use the code 'thestreetcomplex' when you're ready to checkout at motelrocks.com!

for her

Stuck for what to get your BFF or girlfriend? Here are a few things that may give you some inspiration!

Pieces - £32

I feel lost if I don't own at least one bag that I can take everywhere and just dump stuff in. Something I can use for a shopping trip, or just a night away from home. And I think this one is perfect for just that.

ASOS - £9

It's absolutely freezing outside, and these are absolutely adorable. I need say no more.

Dogeard - £32

I really do think these are adorable; I love having a pair of studs that I can just wear with everything and not have to worry about and these would add edge to any look with the least amount of effort ever. Perfect.

for him

I hate buying for guys but luckily I'm a single pringle and only have my Papi to worry about. But all of you out there I've tried to put together some suggestions! Obviously you know your boyf way better than I do but if you're still really stuck then here are few possibilities under £40 for the new relationship, the long relationship, and if you just sort of fancy him.

ASOS - £25

Huf - £38

ASOS - £5.99

Markus Lupfer

It would be a disgusting understatement to say that I am madly in love with the Markus Lupfer creations you can find on ASOS. I really don't think I can put into words how much I drool and sigh and get love hearts for pupils when I look at it.
It's the leather and the kaleidoscope pattern, and just the utter luxe and edgy feel it has to it. He just brings classics such a the LBD, oversized clutch, and pleated leather skirt (a staple for me!) to life, which is why I think I fell for this collection so hard.

christmas festivities

I know it may be a little early but shut up I am excited!
I may not be 6 anymore but I love Christmas decorations and baking and Christmas music and eating. So I have actually started on decorating my room and have even pulled out a festive feeling jumper..
My bedroom will actually look like a grotto by the time it hits December but I'm that excited I feel I need to show you my progress!

Leather and fur jacket - ASOS
Jumper - Zara
Leggings/jeans - Topshop
Socks - Primark
Heels - eBay

If you have any DIY Christmas decoration tips please let me know in a comment; I love making stuff.

pencil skirt powaaaa

Although my work clothes do have to be from Laura Ashley, I think a pencil skirt is always the most fantastic option for work wear (I love them and well them a lot regardless, but you know). They just look so classy and feminine and sexy and lovely.
I promise if you get one you will feel all empowered and lady like. You will take over the world.

Vintage meets Modern

Apologies for not posting yesterday! It was birthday so I was out shopping and have lots to show you all. I won't be able to post Monday either as I'll be in Belgium and will no doubt have lots more to show you.

Although the dress itself isn't vintage I'm pretty sure you could find a very similar, if not identical dress that is vintage.
I've brought in metallics into to this outfit as not only were they the hottest thing going in S/S 12, but they will be for S/S 13, and metallics are always fantastic to wear anyway as they add a bit of glam to an otherwise flat look.
I personally love this nail ring as an edgy edition to my jewelry collection, but if it's a bit too edgy for you then try metallic nail varnish as it'll have the exact same effect.

winter winds

Jumper - Primark
Coat - Topshop
Jeans - Topshop
Boots - ASOS
Bag - Alexander Wang
Sunglasses - Ray Ban

If there's one thing I love about winter more than mittens, it's jumpers. They're so easy to wear as you can wear them with absolutely everything. They're are an easy way of taking your favourite summer outfit right through to winter - how many girls do you see wearing denim shorts, tights, and jumpers nowadays?
This is one of my favourites as it's quite long and it's nice and thick, so it keeps me extra snug. It's also fairly bright, and reds and pinks are always great to wear in the dreary winter months.

Do you have any staples that you think I need in my wardrobe for winter?
